What are Future Libraries?

Ray Oldenberg – urban sociologist from florida stated – “third space is that extra social space next to home and work where people feel belonged, responsible & can grow" also “it’s a place people should feel belonged first, then they will believe in its work” (quote by a doctor in California) Library is just not any space in a school but it has potential to become this third space - Libtopia Library is that third space inside a school campus, where we thrive towards making every child feel connected and eventually walk them towards our dream to make them readers.

Why we call it a Future Library ?

Whatever may be the circumstances that lead to development of a boxed curriculum for our Indian education system, all schools be it any board, traditionally have a curriculum in place and to chase. With the laudable efforts of education experts across the globe and the most recent upgrades in the National education policy, we are definitely on the road of altering this course for more glabal outcomes and truly holistic education. But one cannot disagree; reaching these incredible milestones will take more than one stakeholder and change in all of them. And time! These inclusive changes & process of correction to reach Indian class rooms, syllabus, teaching strategies, content scope or the teachers (basically deliverables, delivery agents & delivery space) is unfortunately going to be slow for the conspicuous reason being too many players involved and since India is extremely vast country with high social & geographical diversity, improvements will demand local modifications too.

But library, Library is a beautiful exception. It’s that most flexible yet underutilized space ubiquitously present within school premises across the globe with possibilities of bringing these changes on board sooner and easily as:
